the ignorant redneck fucks i no longer work for - 2004-09-29 12:07 a.m.

so i just quit my landscaping job today.

i don't start my new one until friday, but i couldn't stay there any longer.
yesterday, while we were working on a garden bed, i lifted up a piece of sod, and a field mouse ran out from underneath it.

this is where things get FUCKED. as soon as my boss saw it, he and two of my coworkers chased it down and took turns torturing it with the blades of their shovels, before they threw it into the road so they could see it get run over by a car.
they were laughing the entire time, and cheered when a car finally hit what was left of the mouse.
i was frozen in shock by the complete and utter surreality of what was happeneing, and it was over about thirty seconds.
i have never witnessed such a random act of cruelty before, and coincidentally, i have never wanted to kill three people with my shovel as much as i did at that moment.
