how i spent my summer vacation - 2004-09-11 10:54 p.m.

i played a show last week.

i played bass, andrew played drums, and thomo and some guy with a beard whose name escapes me played guitars.

i ended up playing with my back turned to the audience for the entire set, cause i was shaking with that silent uncontrollable laughter for most of it.

__________

i've been landscaping all summer. this is good and bad. bad is that i'm basically being exploited and underpaid by italians. good is that i've been getting in really good shape.

also, since the job requires 0% thinking and is basically just reflex, i spend all day making up songs and singing them quietly/loudly to msyelf, depending on how many people are around at the time.

this week i've been singing "on the good ship lollipop" only i've changed the words to:

you're my confusing
italian boss
it's like my head's full
of candy floss
cause your accent is so thick i can't understand a fucking word you're saying

seriously. it's getting rediculous. once he said soemthing to me that i thought was "get me the gas can", so i did exactly that, and tried to hand it to him. he gave me a look that would stun a mosquito at 30 paces and asked just what the hell i thought i was doing.

"you just asked me for the fuckin' gas!" i patiently explained.

"no, i said it's PROBABLY NOT GOING TO RAIN FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK."

like i said, his accent is a bit on the other side of COMPLETELY UNINFUCKINGTELLIGIBLE sometimes.

this entry is stupid. i'm going to write another one right now.
