so i went to see the sounds with jnet. they were predictably amazing, and very swedish. the two opening bands were questionable.

IMA ROBOT were awesome, except for the fact that the fashion-mullet sporting singer somehow managed to ruin every song. the music fucking rocked though, and i couldn't help but marvel at the fact that the bassist (justin meldal-johnsen) is the same fucking guy who has played bass for beck since odelay. he's my new bass hero, in a huge way.

kill hannah would have been great, if i liked good charlotte and stabbing westward enough to wonder what they would sound like mixed together, in a big crappy pot of 80's fetishist crap.

anyways, the sounds.

about two songs in, the girl who sings(maja? something swedish anyway. is that like marsha? maja maja maja...) spit into the audience, and my favorite shirt caught a big gob of it.

this brings up my question. see, it's fucking disgusting when someone spits on you. however, when her giant gob hit my chest, i wasn't as immediately disgusted as i probably should have been, probably due to the fact that she is very hot and very swedish.

that said, i think i was the only person who got hit who didn't immediately start cheering.

so i'm annoyed with myself for condoning a hot person treating me like shit, but at least i'm not a moron about it.
