have i ever mentioned how enraged i get when i hear "small town" by john cougar mellencamp? i can only imagine how he wrote such an obviously inspired piece of americana shit, sitting at home, playing guitar, and suddenly it hits him, "AHA!!!! i should write a song about small towns!! a song in which i will use the phrase 'small town' AS MANY FUCKING TIMES AS I POSSIBLY FUCKING CAN!!! YES!!! THIS IS INGENIOUS!!! I SHOULD WRITE THIS SHIT DOWN!!!" and so he scribbled furiously well into the night: (verse) baaargha blah blah small town (chorus) small town small town oh small town
